It provides the ability to give a firm, yet quick and gentle, correction that eases up when the pressure is released. A normal slip collar falls to the base of the neck near the shoulders, which does not provide as much control.   Cesar Millan, the acclaimed dog behavior expert, has cared for and rehabilitated dogs for most of his life. Cesar's philosophy espouses that there are no bad dogs. Unruly and aggressive behaviors result from lack of proper training - people training. Cesar and his wife Ilusion realized that owners want to properly control their dogs during walks, but often lack the necessary tools to do so. They designed The Illusion Dog Training Collar to assist owners in achieving maximum control during walks. It is sized for small to large breeds. Note: Actual color may vary according to inventory.   Breed Sizing Chart for the Illusion Dog Training Collar The Illusion comes in 3 sizes: Small, Medium, and Large. To determine the proper collar size, measure the circumference of the throat at the base of the neck. See the illustration to the right: SMALL: 13" - 15" [33 – 38 cm] base of neck MEDIUM: 16" - 19" [40.5 – 48.25 cm] base of neck LARGE: 20" - 23" [51 – 58.5 cm] base of neck   WARNING: If your dog's neck measures less than 13 inches at the base, or your dog weighs less than 18 lbs, you should NOT use the collar. The Illusion collar is not intended for puppies under one year of age. Dogs with any breathing problems, such as "pushed-in faces" that restrict breathing; dogs with trachea or throat problems, such as Pomeranians; and dogs with elongated, overly slender necks, such as Greyhounds, should NOT use the collar.
